Reflecting on 2022
As 2022 has drawn to an end I reflect and review the year. I look at all aspects whether it’s been good or bad so I can make adjustments. 2022 did not disappoint in both my personally or in my business life. Reflecting on 2022 has helped me grow as a person and be grateful for all the lessons I have learnt. I have also used this time to look at my vision board and seen how much I have achieved.
So back in January I turned 40 which was a milestone. It was actually one of the best weekends my bestie travelled from Grismby to Essex to spend the weekend with me. I also got spoil from friends and family. I had amazing giant cookie cake which hubby had arranged for a company called ‘The Sugar Rose Cup Cake Company’ who I would highly recommend. Then the year that followed was really amazing apart from the fact I had Covid in July.
2022 was a great year personally and these are the highlights …
- I was treated to a lovely spa break with hubby, including a back massage. I am already planning another spa break for 2023.
- Our family grew as we welcomed our Fur Baby (Admin Assistant) to our family, who has fitted in well.
- We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary (22 years together). The memories we have made over the years has been great and hubby is still my biggest cheerleader.
- We went to Harry Potter Studio Tour, great day I love Harry Potter.
- As a family we had a holiday at Butlins which was great to have some quality time together and fun. My bestie came to meet up with us for a day.
- I supported my daughter in her dancing show with Dance Avenue. I am so proud of her as had only started lessons there in January after moving from her previous dance school. She also worked really hard to learn a Ballet Solo so that she could participate in dancing competitions which she has unfortunately didn’t place but tried her best.
- My son has also had an amazing year as his football team won their league and at the end of the season he was awarded ‘Players Player’. Which I was extremely proud of and was able to watch the majority of his games throughout the season.
- Went away for a girls weekend to a lovely house with hot tub which meant we got to connect and relax.
My Wellbeing in 2022
While I have been reflecting on 2022 it has reminded me of how I have looked after my own wellbeing. Some of these activities have become habits which I will be taking forward to 2023.
Introduced a skin care routine of cleanse, tone and moisturise morning and night. Well our skin is the biggest organ of the body and is probably the most exposed to the elements. I have also looked at the product I have actually been using and tried to pick natural and organic ingredients.
I was introduced to the running style of Jeffing. 30second run/30second walk which you continue to do until you run to your required distance. This has meant I have avoided injuries and managed distances of 6km. During September I participated in Cancer Research Run 60 (60 miles in a month) raising money for the charity. Cancer Research is a charity very close to my heart as family and friends have been battling Cancer recently.
I returned to Yoga at a local class which has been helping with my flexibility and balance. It has been my me time each week to connect with my body and really listen to what it is capable of doing. It even ends with a meditation which is lovely to calm the mind.
Self care is so important to me and that is why I have also ensured that I have made time for me. Self care helps me to destress, recharge my batteries and connect with me which mean I avoid burn out.
What I do for my Self Care
- Visit the hairdressers
- Have a back massages
- Have facial reflexology
- Last lift and tints.
- Read a book
- Exercise
- Meditation
- Go for a walk in nature
So let this be a reminder to everyone to make time for self care this year.
Business – Reflecting on 2022
2022 has been a year of growth and development in my business, which I am truly grateful. I have meet lots of new people on my journey which has helped my business develop and evolve. So let me say Thank You to all those that have been a part of my journey as I have learnt from every single one of you.
So during 2022 I attended or participated in some course and it has seen me qualify in Crystal Healing and Mian Dui (uplifting facial massage with Gua Sha crystal). I’ve extended my knowledge in crystals by regularly reviewing the properties and energies. I’ve continued to develop spiritually by attending psychic and medium workshops. I love learning and developing as every step continues my journey.
By investing in a portable massage chair has meet I could add the treatment Acupressure Chair Massage. This is a massage of the back, shoulders, head and arms. By using this chair it means I can apply more pressure on points and I would also be able to take it along to fairs and events.
I’m currently studying to become a Law of Attraction practitioner so that I can support my clients in different ways and hold Law of Attraction Workshops in 2023. I also started this course to be able to start working on the Law of Attraction more successfully myself.
I have made it easier for people to book appointments with me through using the online booking system called Fresha. This has been a big learning for me as it has meant letting go slightly of having all the control over when clients can book appointments but it has also made the process quicker as their is now no emails or messages going back and forth to get the best time and day booked. If you fancy booking an appointment here is the link
Ive been attending markets and events throughout the year as a stall holder and been learning what products people prefer to see or buy and which markets worked best for the type of products I sell. This has seen me become a regular at ‘The Pink Toothbrush Alternative Market and Record Fair’, first Sunday of the month 11am – 3pm and ‘The Wick Community Centre Pamper and Shopping Evening’, last Sunday of the month 5pm – 9pm. Although I sell products at markets there is opportunities to purchase through my website shop
Reflecting on 2022 has taught me to be grateful for everything, celebrate the wins and learn from the loses.
Looking to 2023
At the start of 2023 I always create a vision board and set goals for the year ahead. Vision boarding is a great way to make a visual of what you want to achieve and if you put it somewhere prominent it will stay your focus. I make a vision board each year and I save it as a screensaver/wallpaper on my phone so I view it everytime I pick up my phone. Also I print off 2 copies, 1 for the fridge and 1 to use in my diary as a bookmark.
If you require to know more about vision boarding look at for my workshop.
