My Journey to become a Holistic Therapist

This is the first blog of a series of 4 from Holistic Therapies by Nicola. They will be about my journey to becoming a therapist in Massage, Nails, Reflexology and Hopi Ear Candles

About me

Today I am going to tell you a little more about myself. I live in the village of Hullbridge, Essex and travel to my clients within the surrounding area. Appointments are available at a variety of days and times. All the equipment and products required for the treatment I bring to you. It doesn’t matter how big or small your space, I will discuss your requirements and space when booking an appointment. I have set up my Manicure table and Massage couch in a variety rooms and can adapt the treatment to the suit the space.

Throughout my time at secondary school I always had an interest in the human body and physiotherapy. This lead me to studying GCSE Triple Science and A Level Human Biology. After leaving college I went to work in the financial sector as a customer services advisor and then an operational analyst.

I was 24 years old when I realised I wanted to become a beauty or holistic therapist. In 2006 I returned to studying and embarked on a VTCT level 3 in Anatomy and Physiology, Swedish Massage and Health Safety and Employment Standards. By Studying with VTCT you gain a lifetime membership and unique membership number. It was at this point that my journey began and Holistic Therapies By Nicola became a reality. But that is where the next stage of my story begins
