Mian Dui (Uplifting Facial Massage)

Mian Dui is a facial ritual where East meets West. The ritual aims to nurture and support the skin and the underlying muscular/skeletal structures. It will produce an uplifted and glowing look, works the upper shoulders decreasing any tension there and will also have a positive effect on facial contours. Following the treatment it may feel you look better, well-rested version of yourself.

It starts with a facial cleanse and tone before starting the Mian Dui uplifting facial massage, facial reflexology points, facial acupressure points, scalp massage, lymphatic drainage massage and then ending with the beautiful Gua Sha Crystals.

What is the treatment?

So lets look at each component of the treatment in more detail

Double cleanse using a cream cleanser and removing using a face cloth, this is to just to cleanse (clean) the face and remove any make up ready to have the treatment. Is the time for you to get use to my touch.

Toner applied is to remove any remaining cleanser from the face and prepare it for the facial oil to be applied.

Facial oil is then applied to the skin to help with glide and add moisture to your skin. At this point, I will encourage some deep breathing and gentle stretches to help you to begin to relax into the pillow.

Uplifting Facial Massage is a number of flowing and connecting movements in a upwards direction which will warm up the muscles of the face and neck. It stimulates the nervous system, improves the return blood, imcreases oxygen into the tissues, which in turn provides nutrients to help stimualate your skin and improve muscle memory.

Reflexology points on the face to help balance the reflexes of the body.

Acupressure Points is working along the chinese meridians on the face and scalp

Lymphatic Drainage is a light massage of the face and neck. The Lymphatic system is part of your immune system and has many functions. It can help protect your body from illness-casuing invaders, maintaining body fluid levels, adsorbing digestive tract fats and removing sellular waste.

Gua Sha Crystals is to stabilise and cool the skin, brings about a deep sense of weelbing. Like all crystals the Gua Sha would have properties and energies of the crystals they are made from. these can promote a pealing hhysical, emotional or spiritual

As I am a Reiki master I will end the treatment with some chakra balance and grounding work
